FAQs
Technical FAQs
Do I need to have access to a computer to attend?
Yes. Each family will be required to have a computer that meets the minimum specifications necessary to access the K12 Online School (OLS). Families must also have internet access in order to participate in the school. In certain cases based on financial need, LAVCA may loan a computer to an enrolling family. This determination will take place during the enrollment process.
What computer skills are required?
The Learning Coach needs to have at least basic computer skills. Use of the computer is an important part of the online school program. In the elementary grades, it is mostly the Learning Coach who interacts with the computer. Middle school and high school students are most successful if they have basic computer skills.
How do I get technical support?
LAVCA families needing customer care or technical support for computers or the online school can call 866.512.2273 (select option 2).
What does the computer system loaned by LAVCA include?
